Franklin "Frank" Medernach, 68 of Aurora passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Provena Mercy Medical Center.
He was born February 18 1942 in Aurora, IL. Frank was a member of St. Rita of Cascia Church. He was also a member of the Luxemburg Club. He worked as a meat cutter for many years and also as District Manager for The Beacon News. He later retired from Suburban Buick.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kay (Asselborn); two sons, Kevin Medernach of Aurora, IL and Keith (Elizabeth) Medernach of South Elgin, IL; daughter Kari Schuett of Orlando, FL and his six grandchildren Hannah, Sarrah, Abby, James, Brock and Max; six brothers James of Aurora, IL, Dave (Donna)of Aurora, IL, Gerald (Hermena) of Diederich, IL, Albert of Aurora, IL, Bernard (Marcia) of DeKalb, IL and Gregg (Gloria) of Aurora, IL; three sisters Mary (Jerry) Yager of Stuart, FL, Carolyne Cherwin of Geneva, IL and Marie Frantzen of Aurora, IL; one sister-in-law Janet Medernach of Aurora and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Loretta Medernach; two brothers John Medernach and Frederick "Fritz" Medernach; two brothers-in-law William Frantzen and Donald Cherwin; one nephew Dennis Medernach and his niece Stacy Frantzen.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL. 60506 (630) 631-5500. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 9:30 am from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY To St. Rita of Cascia Church at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. |
