Earl J. Robinson
Earl J. Robinson, age 85, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1923 in Minooka, IL the son of Charles and Eda (Wylie) Robinson.
Earl was united in marriage on September 26, 1942 in Kendall County, IL to the former Alice Eyre and they spent the next 57 happy years of their lives together until her passing on August 16, 2000. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Robinson attended the Helmar Lutheran Church in Newark, IL. In his younger years, he was employed at the Oswego Grain Elevator and drove a Semi. Later, Earl was, for many years, a farmer in the Yorkville area.
He is survived by his son, Wylie (Carol) Robinson of Streator, IL; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Dabrowski, Angela (Jason) Etheridge, and their mother, Ann Johnston, Sonya (Bruce) Walter, Sheila Hadley, Trisha Feldman, and Chad (Lisa) Dickey; his 16 great grandchildren; his two great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty (Jim) Muladore; his sister-in-law, Muriel Robinson; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jayne Brown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Robinson; his son, Richard Robinson; and his brother, Wylie Robinson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Pkwy., Yorkville, IL with Pastor Dennis Norby, officiating. Interment will follow in the Aux Sable Cemetery in Aux Sable Township.
Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
