Hushaw, Wendell L. "Skip" 74, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Presence Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1939 in Peoria, IL. Skip was employed by Caterpillar as a Tooling Tech for 40 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Aurora Turners Club, the Tiger Club and the Booster Club of West Aurora High School. He was a youth baseball coach for over 20 years, and a basketball coach at Holy Angels School. He was active in Scouting. He enjoyed flying, traveling, reading, golfing, bowling, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Survivors include his wife, Judy (Campbell) Hushaw; his mother, Jane (Wilson) Hushaw; two sons, Brian (Lisa) Hushaw, Brett Hushaw; five grandchildren, Jacqueline, Brian, Jr., Shanna, Jessie, Aden; a brother, Denton (Mary) Hushaw; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Denton Hushaw; a nephew, Brad Hushaw. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY; interment will be private. Visitation will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora. 630-631-5500.
