Barath, Steve I. 76, of Oswego passed away on March 9, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born on December 30, 1935 in Budapest, Hungary, the son of Istvan and Teresa Barath. He proudly served his country as a Freedon Fighter in the Hungarian Revolution. Steve retired from FermiLab in 1999 after 30 years of employment. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, traveling and photography. He is survived by his wife Mary Barath (nee King), his daughters Tina (Joey Lamare) Barath, Hedi (Scott Reynolds) Barath, and Michelle (Don Smith) Barath, his cousins Imre Gonczy and Husz Laszlone (Zsuzsa). He is also survived by his mother in law Jeanne King and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws. He is preceded in death by his parents. Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, March 14th from 2:30 pm until the time of service at 6:30 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538.
