Carter III, Joseph A. August 4, 2012 we lost an angel, Joseph A. Carter III 66 of Glendale Heights passed away in the midst of his love for photography. Joseph was born November 6, 1945 to Joseph A. Carter Jr. and Grace D. Carter. A native of Columbus, Georgia, Joseph had an appreciation of the outdoors and capturing life's most simple beauties and precious moments. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Joseph was no stranger to hard work dedicating 50 years of service to Fiat and Walmart retiring in 2010. A caring son, a wonderful father who will forever be missed. Joseph leaves to cherish his memory, his sister, Gertrude Watkins; children, Anthony Carter, Kimberly Carter and Carmen Carter; 8 grandchildren; nephew, Dwight Reynolds; niece, Alicia Bryant; mother, Josephine Carter; longtime friend, Meta Williams; a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Grace Carter, brothers Johnny Carter Jr. and Jarvis Williams. Funeral services were held Monday, August 13, 2012 in James' Chapel. Interment in Riverside Cemetery. James Funeral Service serving the family 630-851-6503.
