Crow, John B. 96, of Aurora, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born September 13, 1916 in Aurora, the son of the late Jesse and Tillie (Erdman) Crow. John was a graduate of East Aurora High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W. II in Europe as medic from 1942-1945. John married Clara Miller on November 27, 1947. He played the accordion, organ and enjoyed singing with the Lamplighters and The Incredibles at the Constitution House, where he resided. Most recently, John lived at Asbury Gardens. John was a longtime member of the Aurora Kiwanis Club, Aurora Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 84 and the Elks Club. John worked for John Hancock Insurance Co. and Dow furniture Co. John is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Scott) Miller of Cedar Falls, IA; three grandsons, Matthew, Michael (Betsy) and Mark Miller; and two great-grandsons, Jack and Brian Miller. In addition to his parents, John was preceded by his ex-wife, Clara Kegerreis; his brothers and sisters, Leonard (Clara) Crow, Ruby (Willard) Jones, Carl Crow, Walter Crow, Dorothy (Floyd) Wilkensen and George (Mary) Crow. A memorial service will take place at 12 P.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until 12 P.M. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Honor Flight Chicago or to the family.
