Obituary Condolences

Close, Jeoffrey Layne 57, of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at home. He was born on November 28, 1954 in Aurora, the son of Deloris (Gerkin) and the late Edgar F. Close. After receiving his degree from Iowa State University, Jeof worked at the Board of Trade in Chicago. While living in Chicago he played rugby for the Chicago Lions. Later in life he founded Cymryc Corp. He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Riddle) of Winfield; mother, Deloris of Geneva; sister, Jill Close of Batavia; dog, Dylan as well as an uncle, numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his father, Jeof was preceded in death by two uncles. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many co-workers, friends and neighbors for their love and support. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 5 pm - 8 pm at Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 with one hour of visitation prior to services at the chapel. Burial will take place at West Big Rock Cemetery.
