Kifowit, James S. "Jim" 70, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was born December 28, 1941 in Aurora, IL, the son of the late Harold and Mildred (Schilling) Kifowit. James was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, where he served as a Trustee, Preschool Board Member and an usher. He retired from Walker Processing Equipment after 37 years of service. Jim enjoyed the many times spent with his family at Woodhaven Lakes. Survivors include his wife of 49 1/2 years, Marilyn (nee Zielke) Kifowit; his daughter, Pamela Kifowit; his son, Steven (Stephanie) Kifowit; his grandchildren, Alexandria (William II) Wagner, Sabrina Kifowit and Samuel Kifowit and his great grandchildren, William Wagner III and Jonathan Wagner. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 1233 Douglas Rd., Montgomery, IL 60538 with Pastor Scott Guhl and Pastor Brad Hubbard officiating. The family will greet friends after the service. The family requests no flowers and memorials in Jim's name be directed to St. Olaf Lutheran Church or St. Olaf Lutheran Church Preschool.
