Jackson, George A. 93, of Elburn passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Delnor Community Hospital. He was born January 16, 1920 in Castleford, England, the son of the late William and Clara (Wilcock) Jackson. George proudly served his country during WWII in North Africa with the British Army Royal Artillary 98th Field Regiment Surrey & Sussex Yoemanry (known as the "Desert Rats"). George is survived by his loving wife, Anny Jackson of Elburn, IL; his son, Arthur (Jeanne) Jackson of Big Rock, IL, Maria (Cort) Kormos of Elburn, IL and Jackie (Scott) LaFleur of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Arthur (Chelsea) Jackson Jr., John (Leatha Lynn) Jackson, Michael (Marie) Jackson, Brianna LaFleur, Nicole LaFleur, Jason Kormos and Rian Kormos; his great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Jackson; many other family and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. October 27, 2013 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. October 28, 2013 at The Healy Chapel, Sugar Grove. Interment will take place at Sugar Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
