Diehl, Elmer G. Age 90, of Maple Park, passed from this life to eternal life on Thursday June 2, 2011 at Delnor Community Hospital. He is survived by two children: Marilyn (Ed) Campbell of Maple Park, IL, Dale (Janice) Diehl of Maple Park, IL. Five Grandchildren: Kelly (Brian) Eigenberger, Steven Campbell, Gregory Diehl, Matthew Diehl, Jaclyn Diehl; Four siblings: David Diehl, Kathleen "Toots" (Donald) Kohley, Paul (Mary) Diehl, Carol Cibulskis; One brother-in-law, Bernard Kuhn; One sister-in-law, Ann Diehl; Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a community of friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Eleanor; His parents; Seven siblings: Mary Jane (Robert) Nagel, George Diehl, Dorothy Kuhn, Edward (Pat) Diehl and Raymond and Franklin who died as children and one sister who died in infancy. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2011, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn, IL 60119. A mass to celebrate his life will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, at St. Gall Catholic Church, Elburn. Fr. Karl Ganss, pastor of the church, will officiate and interment will follow at St. Gall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name to benefit his favorite charitites.
