Frank Jr., Edward M. Age 91, passed away on October 6, 2012. He was a Construction Engineer in six states for thirty-seven years with the Burlington Railroad. His favorite work was on the many bridges along and over the Mississippi River. Ed completed his thirty missions, including D-Day, on a Lead Crew as Armorer, Tailgunner, and Observer. He flew on the Liberator and the Flying Fortress. On returning, Ed served as a Tow Target Operator at Kingman Air Base on the Marauder. He collected everything from motorcycles to beautiful cruets and loved all dogs. He was a life member of the American Railway Engn. Assn., Maint of Way Club of Chicago, 490th Bomb Grp. Assn., & 8th Air Force Historic Society. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Elaine (Pasnick) Frank and sister, Helen (Steven) Gerard. Survivors include; son, Edward Michael Frank of Des Plaines; daughter, Elaine Martha (Lee) Poska of Willowbrook; grandson, David (Linda) Poska; granddaughter, Michelle (Brian) Henkel, great grandchildren, Julia, Alexander, Emily Poska and Lauren Henkel; brother, Donald (Katharine) Frank; sister, Gertrude (Charles) Frye and sister-in-law, Florence (Peter) Prindiville.
