Hornback, David L. 56, of South Elgin, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 3rd. He was the loving husband for 32 years of Claudia (nee Conrad); dear brother of Danny (Carol) of Elgin and Deanne Cooper of Batavia; cherished son of Margaret (nee Walz) of Aurora, and the late Floyd; loving son-in-law of June Conrad and caring brother-in-law of Glenn (Roxann) Conrad of Battle Creek , MI. David had many interests some of which included his love for fishing, photography and steam engine trains. He had a life-long love for racing and a fascination of WWII aircraft. As a child he spent his time drumming, cross country running and skating with friends. He cheered on the Cubs, Bears and Bulls. David was a valued employee of Conway Freight Trucking Co. since 1993. Visitation Thursday, August 8th from 9:00 am until time of service 11:00 am at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 South Gilbert St. (at Middle St) South Elgin.
