Butler Jr., Christopher W. "Chris" 63, of North Aurora, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at his home, after a battle with kidney cancer. He was born July 16, 1950 in Yazoo City, MS, the son of Mary (Monroe) Butler and the late Christopher Butler, Sr. Chris was an instructor for over 28 years at Eastern Oklahoma State College. He also served as a reserve policeman for over 10 years and a city councilman for over 7 years in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Most recently he worked at Kaneland High School as part of their security personnel. Chris also was a part-time employee for the Waubonsee Community College Athletic Department as the public address speaker for home basketball and baseball games. He is survived by his wife, Mary Edith Butler of North Aurora; his sister, Mary Frances Tabor and mother, Mary Evelyn Butler, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at The Healy Sugar Grove Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Chris' name may be directed to Waubonsee Community College, "Myrtle Belle Jones" Scholarship or to the Lions Club International.
