Russell, Carl "Bud" E. Born in Toledo, OH. to Dorothy Weidinger and Howard Harvey on June 23, 1938 Pass away on August 12, 2012 at his home in Sugar Grove with his family at his side. Carl, lovingly known as Bud grew up and attended school in Homewood IL. Being patriotic, Bud joined the USMC and was proud to be a sharp shooter while serving his country. After his discharge from the Marines, Bud moved to Aurora where he met the love of his wife Karin J. Wagner. In his younger years, Bud enjoyed stock car racing at Bob and Joe's speedway and he was known as "Star Nova" on the CB radio. Bud was a huge NASCAR fan and Dale Earnhardt's #1 fan. He was also a volunteer firemen along with his wife and son, Mark for Sugar Grove. He was also active E.S.D.A. Bud worked at Baber Greene in Aurora until the factory closed its doors. He then worked for school district 131 as a custodian and later fireman until his retirement in 2000. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing camping, and spending time with his family. He loved to laugh and tell stories. His visitation will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall 197 E. Washington in Oswego on Friday, August 17th from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. A brief memorial service to be performed by Deacon Duane Wozek at 3:30pm. Interment will be private with his family. Family requests no flowers. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karin and his 3 children, Melody (Roger) Carlson, David (Joyce) Miller, and Mark (Ellyn) Russell, and 5 grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, Catie Miller, and Mark and Lucas Russell.
