Quigley, Beatrice Elaine Passed away peacefully in her sleep July 9th 2012 at the home of her daughter Bonnie Smith she was born on June 29, 1934 in Unionville, MO to Mary Audrey and Rodney Bine Veach. She met her husband Fred Quigley (deceased 1997) when he came to Cincinnati, IA to visit his grandparents. They were married on January 12, 1952 at the home of his parents Gerald and Lena Quigley in Aurora, IL. Elaine and Fred had six children; her Irish twins Bonnie (Glenn) Smith and Fred Jr. (Kathy) Quigley of Oswego, daughter Patsy Smith (Ken deceased) of Montgomery, Son Michael Quigley (Tammy) of Ottawa, Barry (deceased) and Rodney Quigley of Oswego. She is survived by her loving sisters Rosemary White of Cincinnati, IA, Vivian Sheahan and Cindy Jones, as well as her loving brothers Troy Veach and Terry Veach of Unionville, MO. Elaine loved children and her work reflected that love. She worked at Copley Memorial Hospital for nine years in pediatrics and later in life she was employed by Johnson Elementary School as crossing guard and lunchroom supervisor. Elaine enjoyed the sound of children in her home and her 18 grandchildren as well as her 26 great grandchildren provided her with this delight on many occasions. Two special great grandchildren were her companions on a daily basis. Alyssa and Jayleen often climbed up into her bed to play monopoly, go fish or color pictures. Beatrice loved to walk and often challenged herself on long distant walks, "just to see if I can make it" was the words she often used. Her two oldest grandchildren Marc and Michelle were frequently her walking buddies. She is now free to walk again on her next journey as she joins her husband Fred, son Barry, son-in-law Ken, and grandson Fredrick Gary on that eternal stairway to heaven. Her family is ever grateful to the following healthcare providers that helped Elaine in her last few months: Nazima Mustafa, M.D., Seasons Hospice, Pat and Marsha from Family Home Health, Rush Copley, Alden of Waterford and the Oswego Fire Department.
