Butts, William J. Age 81, of Yorkville, IL, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on January 10, 1933 in Danville, IL, the son of August and Olive (Brown) Butts. William was united in marriage on December 22, 1956 to the former Carole Sundin and they spent the next 58 happy years together. Mr. Butts proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed for 35 years in management by Caterpillar, INC. in Montgomery, IL. In years past, Bill had served as an Assistant Boy Scout Leader. He was a long time and very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL, formerly serving as both its financial secretary and Trustee. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Carole Butts of Yorkville, IL; his children, Terry (Barb) Butts of Big Rock, IL, Lynn (Bruce) Campbell of Columbus, OH, Kristine Butts of Oswego, IL, and Kathie Butts of Oswego, IL; his grandson, Alex Cole of Big Rock, IL; his two brothers, Bruce (Katie) Butts of Ambia, IN and Kenneth Butts of Abilene, KS; his sister-in-law, Lucille Butts of Decaturville, TN; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Olive Butts; his siblings, Dick Martin, Dale Butts, Patricia Dalton, Joyce Dukes, Ernest Butts, Catherine Morin, and Barbara Dellinger. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10104 Immanuel Rd., Yorkville, IL with Pastor Michael Neel officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Yorkville, IL. Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N.
