Hart, Robert L. 67, of Cortland, Illinois, died Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb. Born September 21, 1946, in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Gerald and Shirley (Carpenter) Hart. Bob married Anneliese Zanker on March 23, 1985, in Montgomery, Illinois. Bob was a graduate of East Aurora High School class of 1964, was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was employed by AT&T for 30 years and later by Richardson Electronics; was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Bob enjoyed western movies, was an avid sports fan and loved hot rod cars He is survived by his wife, Anneliese; four children, Douglas (Deborah) Musich, Jennifer (Michael) Wilson, Andria (Joseph) Schultz, Robert Hart; two grandchildren, Tabitha and Stephen; one sister, Judy (Albert) Notbusch; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gerald Hart, Jr. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with the Rev. Robert Vaughn of Malta Congregational Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb, with full military honors by the DeKalb County Honor Guard.
