Bowman, Lloyd Algert Age 92, of Port Isabel, TX., formerly of Aurora, IL. Passed away January 16, 2014, at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Harlingen, Texas. Born March 4, 1921, Lloyd Bowman graduated from West Aurora High School, Aurora, IL. in 1938, and attended the University of Illinois, Living in Kendall County, IL. at the beginning of World War II, Lloyd Bowman enlisted in the Army Air Corps., and became First Sgt. After World War II, Kendall County put the names of their residents serving in the war on a plaque on a wall inside the old Kendall County Courthouse in Yorkville, IL. Lloyd was a member of Port Isabel, TX., American Legion. Lloyd A. Bowman married Doris Elaine Frazier in Aurora, IL. on October, 20, 1945. Lloyd and Doris had two sons, Bruce F. Bowman and Barry V. Bowman, both graduated from Vanderbilt University. Bruce F. Bowman graduated from Law School. Lloyd A. Bowman is preceded in death by his father, Victor Bowman, mother Hattie Swanson Bowman, wife Doris Bowman, and son, Barry V. Bowman. Lloyd is survived by his son, Bruce F. Bowman. Lloyd Bowman has a stone at West Side Cemetery, Geneva, IL. His ashes were dispersed into the ocean.
