McCarty, James Allen Age 73, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on July 22, 1940, in Morris, IL, the son of John J. and Naomi (Johnson) McCarty. James was united in marriage on July 27, 1966 to Barbara Ann Perrin and they spent the next 48 happy years together. James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. McCarty spent many years serving his community as a volunteer firefighter for the Bristol-Kendall Fire Department. He was employed for many years as a truck driver. James was a member of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. James is survived by his wife, Barbara McCarty of Yorkville, IL; his sons, Scott (Dawn) McCarty of Yorkville, IL, and Todd McCarty (Maureen Ewing) of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Mitchell McCarty and Maxwell McCarty; his brothers, Michael McCarty and Timothy McCarty; and his four sisters, Pat (Jack), Mary (Michael), Kathy, and Margaret. He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. and Naomi McCarty. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Route 47, Yorkville, IL, with Pastor Erik Gauss officiating. Interment will be private in the Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Yorkville, IL. Friends may visit from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, IL.
