Borneman, James L. Davis Junction, age 67, died Monday, July 29, 2013 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. He was born on July 8, 1946 in Sandwich, IL to Norma (Foss) Borneman and her husband. James attended Oswego Community High School and worked for many years in construction. He married Carol Wheaton on October 11, 1969 in Oswego. He is an U.S. Army veteran and is a member of the American Legion Post 2910. James is survived by his wife, Carol of Davis Junction; son, Michael Borneman of Yorkville, IL; siblings, Janet (Gerald) Redsek of Yorkville, IL, Donna (Charles) Frieble of San Antonio, TX, and Jeff (Sandy) Sampson of Montgomery, IL; granddaughters, Ashley and Alyssa Rossler; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Don Sampson. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday August 2, 2013 in the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home, 136 W. Roosevelt Rd, Stillman Valley, IL with Pastor Bob Mellon of Monroe Center Community Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm prior to the service.
