Converse, Dan Died on April 7, 2014. Visitation and funeral services were held at Heritage Memorial Services in Huntington, CA. He was born on November 5, 1943 in Austin, TX, the son of Irv and the late Ethelyn Converse. His earlier hobbies and interests included the Boy Scouts, collecting and displaying butterflies and moths and watching science fiction movies. While watching the science fiction movies, he developed an interest in astronomy that lasted his entire life. After graduating from West Aurora High School in Aurora, IL in 1962, he attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He enlisted in the Navy in the 1960's and served 3 years. While completing his earlier training in San Diego, CA, he developed a deep and lasting love to be near the ocean. Dan is survived by his wife, Bonnie Converse; his son, Joe Converse and his daughter, Michaele Lepenske.
