Robert J. Campbell

Campbell, Robert J. 87, of Aurora, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Season's Hospice in Naperville, IL, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 5, 1926 in Aurora, the son of Howard and Carrie (Schmitt) Campbell. Robert and Betty Campbell were united in marriage on May 11, 1985 at St. Joseph Church in Aurora. Robert served his country proudly as a member of the United States Navy during WWII on L.S.T. 973. He was employed for 32 years at Kroehler Manufacturing in Naperville. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish. Robert was a lifetime member of the VFW #7452 and the Phoenix Club where he served as Past President. He was a member of the local Teamsters Union. Robert enjoyed bowling and sports including the Chicago Bears and Bulls; he never gave up on his beloved Cubs. He is survived by his wife, Betty Campbell; his stepdaughters, Connie (William) Noltemeyer, Janice (Robert) Cinto, Patricia (Douglas) Duffy; seven grandchildren, Melissa and Anthony LeCuyer, twins Kristin and Katie Cinto, Douglas, Kayla and Dylan Duffy; three great-grandchildren, Madeline and Aiden LeCuyer, and Kayson Duffy; his sister, Marjorie Regnier; his sister-in-law, Lila Campbell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Caroline Campbell; his parents, Howard and Carrie (Schmitt) Campbell; his brother, James Campbell; and his brother-in-law, Edwin Regnier. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY at 11:30 a.m. to St. Joseph Church at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Liturgical Wake Service at 4:00 p.m., at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N.
