Robert H. Kaetzer

Kaetzer, Robert H. Robert H. Kaetzer, currently of Elgin, Illinois, formerly of Glendale, Arizona and of Oswego, Illinois, went to be with Jesus in Heaven on April 13, 2014. Bob was born May 25, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. He was married to Marjorie Zielke for 51 years and she also went to be with Jesus in Heaven in April, 2005. Bob was a World War II Veteran having served in the South Pacific. He attended the School of Business at Indiana University (1946-1950) and became an accountant. He was employed by the Stephens-Adamson Manufacturing Company of Aurora, Illinois in the accounting department. Bob was employed by the Community Counseling Center of Aurora, Illinois as the Business Manager and Director of Finance. He was a charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Montgomery, Illinois; and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Glendale, Arizona. Bob was a musician and leader of the Original Hi-Fi Combo. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Aurora Local 181; a member of the Indiana University Alumni Association; and a member of the National Association of Accountants. Bob and his wife Marjorie were life members of the Oswegoland Heritage Association. Bob was the Treasurer of the Village of Oswego from 1958 to 1964. Bob is survived by his daughter, Beth (Steve) Kaetzer Froehlich of Elburn, Illinois and three sons, Jim (Tina) Kaetzer of Glendale, Arizona, Tom (Catherine) Kaetzer of Spring, Texas, and Mark (Sara) Kaetzer of Elgin, Illinois. Also he is survived by eight grandchildren, Tim, Valerie, Lydia, Skyler, Chadwick, Henry, William and Mary Susan; and many close family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; his son, Timothy; his parents; and a brother and his brother's wife. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME With CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road in Oswego, Illinois. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 63 Fernwood Road in Montgomery, Illinois on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at the Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, Illinois. The family suggests that memorials in Bob's name be given to either St. Luke's Lutheran Church or Atonement Lutheran Church.
