NH "Norb" Geltz

Geltz, N. H. "Norb" 86, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 2, 1926 in Ste. Marie, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Irene (Anen) Geltz; daughter, Marie of Aurora, IL and son, John (Gail) of Big Rock, IL; 2 grandsons, Brian (Jennifer) of Sandwich, IL and Tim (Margaret) of Newark, IL; 5 great-grandchildren, Lily, Mia, Ian, Ethan, and Ellie; sisters, Mary K. Berry, Betty Knell, Evelyn Kocher; brothers, Robert and Frank; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jim in 1975; parents, Albert and Elizabeth; sister, Melba; brothers, James and Harold. Norb served in the US Navy during WWII. In 1949 he started NH Geltz Well Drilling until his retirement in 2003. Many will remember his humor and infectious laugh. He was a member of The Phoenix Club, Wild Rose Social Club, VFW Post 7452, American legion Post 0932, Luxembourg Club and Croation Club of Joliet. Norb and Irene traveled and danced thru The United States until the beginning of his illness. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Joseph Church at 11:30 AM. Fr. Jerome L. Leake will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 1, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a liturgical wake service at 4:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N.
