Kathy Parr

Parr, Kathy Kilfoyle 57, of Durango, CO passed away the evening of Sunday, June 23. She is survived by her family, friends, horse, 2,500 worms and hundreds of others lucky enough to have found space in her huge heart. Kathy was born in Denver, Colorado. She lived and loved her parents and six siblings, and found herself after college moving to Winter Park, Colorado. There, as the resident blue-eyed, blond-haired, downhill skiing bombshell, she attracted the first love of her life, David Parr. She and David moved and settled in Illinois where they raised their two children, Evan and Lindsey. After surviving breast cancer, Kathy found the second love of her life, Kipu, a 4-year-old Rocky Mountain Gelding. Once their children graduated from college, Kathy and her two loves moved back to Colorado, where life became a long-awaited full circle. Rest assured, Kathy will have FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) for the rest of time, and wishes she could be with us all to shed sunshine on all of our days. Just know she loves all of you with all she has. She will be more than missed; she will be celebrated. To celebrate Kathy's life, an Irish wake will be held at Riversong ranch, 1729 CR 250, Durango, CO 81301 on Friday, June 28th, 1830 to 2200. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you kindly consider a donation, to be made in Kathy's name, to Medicine Horse, 1729 CR 250, Durango, CO 81301 or www.medicinehorsecenter.org. Medicine Horse provides equine therapy for acute care and autistic children.
