Jerry R. Seibert

Seibert, Jerry R. 80, of Montgomery passed away on November 1, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 19, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH the son of Adam and Mary (Lynch) Seibert. He proudly served his country with the USAF from 1951-1955 and received medals for Good Conduct, European Occupation, NATO, Expert Rifleman, and MP Unit Citation. Jerry was a life member of the Batavia VFW Post 1197, American Legion Sugar Grove Post 1271, USTA Harness Racing, and the Illinois Harness Horseman Association. He is survived by his children, Thomas (Silvia) Seibert, John (Kara) Seibert and Cynthia (Lynn) Gibson; grandchildren, Richard (Carianne) Bryant, Christina Bryant, Thomas (Christina) Seibert, Stephanie (Scott) Venegas, Jessica (John) Koldan, and Michael Beatty; 10 great-grandchildren, Michael, Sara, Caleb, Zachary, Anna, Noah, Olivia, Owen, Jack, Elijah, and an 11th great-grandchild to be. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie M.; his son, Michael R.; grandson, John E. Beatty; his mother, Mary and Stepfather William Pike, and brothers, William J., Charles E., and Thomas F. Family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home with interment following at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL.
