James Crozier

Crozier, James Wendell Age 88 of Bristol, IL passed away at his home on Friday, August 30, 2013. He was born on June 12, 1925 in Gilman, IL the son of Cristy and Catherine (Rasmussen) Crozier. Jim was united in marriage on August 10, 1963 to Elaine Meyer and they spent the next 50 happy years together. Mr. Crozier served his country proudly with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Wheatland Salem United Methodist Church in Naperville, IL. Mr. Crozier was employed for 20 years at Alcatel-Lucent in Naperville, IL until his retirement. Jim enjoyed several hobbies, including gardening, taking walks, riding his bike, camping and anything to do with farming. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Jim is survived by his wife, Elaine Crozier of Bristol, IL; his daughters, Lucinda Crozier and Alice Valentine both of Watseka, IL; his grandchildren, Michael (Marcy) Valentine; Terri Jo Valentine and Stewart Valentine; his great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mylee and Ian Valentine; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Joan Graf; his son-in-law, Lee Valentine; four sisters and one brother. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Parkway in Yorkville, IL. Interment will follow in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL. Friends may visit from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
