Darold B. Bauer

Bauer, Darold B. Of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Presence Mercy Center in Aurora, IL. He was born March 21, 1933 in The Town of Albany, WI. Darold was an Aurora resident for fifty-seven years and a lifelong member of St. Rita Church in Aurora. He retired from Superior Beverage, where he worked for many years as a salesman/ driver. Darold proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict from 1953 -1955. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Betty) Gruber on September 9, 1953. He is survived by his wife of 59 yrs., Betty (Gruber) Bauer; four children, Stephen (Cathie) Bauer of Scottsdale, AZ, Craig Bauer of Aurora, IL, Brian (Maleen) Bauer of Aurora, IL and Laurie Bauer (John Quirin) of Geneva, IL; eleven grandchildren, Brandon (Dana and baby to be) Bauer of CO, Jordan (fiancé, Lee Ann) Bauer of CO, and Katie Bauer of Scottsdale, AZ, Tim Bauer and Meridith Bauer, both of Joliet, IL, Amy (Jason) Muniz of CO, Lisa (Craig) Ayers of AL, Jesse Michael Mercado of TN and Jennifer Mercado of IA, Justin Niles of Aurora, IL, and Jessica Niles of Sandwich, IL; five great-grandchildren, Nina, Leila, Jackson, Nevaeh, Amethyst; his brother, Douglas (Sharon) Bauer of Eau Claire, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Rose (Prissel) Bauer. Funeral from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY will be Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 9:30 am to St. Rita Church at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 7, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, 630-631-5500.
